Alejandro Banchs | Spring 2023
Alejandro is a senior Psychology Major from the iconic Round Rock, Texas - just a short drive from the 40 acres and named after a misleading oval rock. He’s been in Austin for so long that he even grew a mustache and got waaay too into climbing for his own good. Besides hanging around the front swing of the Tejas house, he works as an EMT, volunteers at several local nonprofits, and trains to prepare to cycle to Alaska during the Summer of 2025 with Texas 4000 for Cancer. After graduating, he plans to pursue medical school to become a Psychiatrist as he is deeply passionate about mindfulness, mental health, and well-being.
Liam Lee | Spring 2023
Liam is a senior business major from the great Land of Sugar Land near Houston, Texas. Outside of Tejas, Liam is involved in the Texas Undergraduate Investment Team and the Undergraduate Business Council. His favorite pastime is finding out which new orgs Josh Hou joined so he can apply as well. In his free time, you will find Liam impatiently waiting for a bench to open up at Gregory gym for his sixth chest day of the week, reading classic literature to make himself feel better for majoring in business, or killing time in the FERC for a stock pitch.
Arjun Radhakrishnan | Spring 2023
Arjun is a senior Business Honors and Finance major from the exotic town of the Woodlands, Texas. On Campus, Arjun is involved in the Undergraduate Business Council, Genesis, and Texas Undergraduate Consulting Group. His favorite pastime is forcing Liam to listen to Big Bootie Mixes and analyzing the layers to the sitcom, Community (it's that deep). Ulises Rodriguez | Spring 2023
Originally from Mendoza, Argentina, Ulises now has the pleasure of calling the glorious greenery of the Woodlands, Texas home. At UT, he is a senior Mechanical Engineering major and on campus he is involved in EcoCar which he hopes is able to teach him to drive as good as Gavin one day. He loves to stay active by going to the gym, playing soccer, and teaching Arjun how to dance (surprisingly impossible task). You can often often find him in the great room eating the entire club and discussing deep and compelling world matters.
Shrikar Thangavel | Spring 2023
Shrikar is an Electrical and Computer Engineering major from the lively city of Houston, Texas. On campus, you can find him working in a multidisciplinary lab, where he thrives on the cutting edge research. Beyond his academic pursuits, he's an active enthusiast of swimming and regularly hits the pool or the gym. As for leisure, Shrikar relishes being outdoors. Whether it's going for walks, hiking in nature reserves, or simply basking in the sun, he finds tranquility in the great outdoors. Musically, Shrikar has an ear for Khalid's music, and he often has his headphones on, getting lost in the melodies during his daily commutes or study breaks.
Vineet Puranik | Spring 2023
Born and raised in the tiny city of Katy, Texas, Vineet Puranik is a current senior majoring in MIS. When he manages to wrangle some free time, you can catch him on the pickleball courts, indulging in a nostalgic Parks and Recreation binge, or soaking up the sun while pretending to read at Peace Park. On campus, he's an active member of the Undergraduate Business Council and the Texas Rocket Engineering Laboratory. Don’t ask him about pineapple's rightful place on pizza, why the 80s music scene reigns supreme in his book, or why cats are infinitely better than dogs.
Gavin Harris | Spring 2023
Gavin is a senior majoring in International Relations & Global Studies and Plan II. From the expansive plains of Brooklyn, New York, Gavin’s move to Texas corresponds with his desire to be a proper cowboy. Some activities Gavin is involved with on campus include social sciences research in international affairs, an arts magazine, and various Christian organizations. Talk to Gavin about the political and economic state of the world — chances are he’ll nod and smile in an attempt to assert that he does know what he’s talking about. In his free time, you can find Gavin perusing the leaves of ancient tomes to improve his wizardry. Sometimes he also enjoys exploring, spending time in nature, thrifting, and listening to music (Lots of it).
Sid Movva | Fall 2023
Sid Movva is a Math major from Dallas, Texas. Although originally born in Hyderabad, Sid now calls the Forty Acres home, and earnestly believes that his blood is actually burnt orange. In his free time, you can find Sid spewing some off-key jazz on his out-of-tune sax, coaching tennis, or making video games. Ask him what he thinks about the Dallas Mavs, music (literally any type), or why Luigi is the better brother.
Luke Anderson | Fall 2023
Luke Anderson is a senior born and raised in Pearland, Texas. He’s majoring in Plan II, BHP, and Finance. Outside Tejas, Luke is involved in the Undergraduate Business Council and Texas Consult your Community, and if he isn’t wearing their merch, something might be wrong. Luke is an avid Houston sports fan only if his favorite teams make the playoffs and refuses to watch regular season games because there’s no point. As a youngster, he was into pottery, the saxophone, and scuba diving, but has moved on to bigger and better hobbies, such as his his slow cooker and spreadsheets.
Grant Marshall | Fall 2023
Though he’ll say ‘Dallas’ to keep it quick, Grant’s origins lie in the suburban carbuncle that is Frisco, Texas. At UT, Grant is studying Psychology on the Bachelor’s of Science track, and is a member of the Plan II Honors program. If you haven’t already heard it from him, Grant is involved with psychiatric research at the Dell Medical School Center for Psychedelic Research & Therapy. He plans to pursue a career in clinical psychology or psychiatry. You might find Grant quoting David Goggins on a morning run, playing an out-of-tune guitar, humming a song to himself & hoping you’ll tell him it sounds nice, or reading the same book he’s been carrying around for like 2 months.
Finley Davis | Fall 2023
Finley Davis is a senior from McKinney, Texas. He is a Geoscience major and does not appreciate being labeled as the rock guy. He is more into the nickname "Fin" and is open to any other more awesome ideas you may have. On campus, Finley is involved in the Undergraduate Geological Society, Research on sedimentary processes of the Trinity River, and Engineers for a Sustainable World. His hobbies primarily consist of soccer, music, online quests to find dogs that look like humans, and general tomfoolery. Ask Finley about his favorite music artists, his expanding trinket collection, and the impacts of climate change. Do not ask Finley about any rock-related questions, as it is getting old and he is tired.

Aiden is a senior History and Art History major from the McKinney, Texas. On campus, he is involved in The Daily Texan and is publishing an essay on Tejas’ beloved Wurstfest. He loves romcoms, specifically When Harry Met Sally, and can occasionally be seen hooping or risking his life on the fútbol pitch. Do not ask him if he wants to go to Pluckers. He doesn’t.

Liam is a fourth-year student studying Business Honors and Management Information Systems. He hails from the slice of heaven known as the Jersey Shore where you can find him paddle-boarding or arguing with friends about why the Philadelphia Eagles are primed for a Super Bowl run. On campus, Liam is very involved in Texas Consult your Community (CYC) as an Engagement Manager. He is a proud member of Tau Tau Gamma (Texas Tour Guides). Ask him why basketball at Moody Center is better than football at DKR.

Anish is a senior from Westlake studying Computer Science. On campus, he is involved with IM sports, Texas Consulting, Texas Finance Team, and Texas Venture Group. You can probably find him playing Sid in tennis at Whitaker, stand-up paddleboarding, or dabbling on the guitar. Ask him about why the Chipotle on Guad is overhated, the national parks he’s visited, or why Roger Federer is the GOAT.

Ahmad is a senior Computer Science major. He loves coding and can’t seem to get enough of it. Some would even say he gets too much of it. Ask him about Python or Java — he gets very excited by this debate.
Sebastian Grannen | Spring 2024
Contrary to the speculation, Sebastian did not choose to major in both Electrical/Computer Engineering Honors and BHP as part of UT’s ECB program because he hates himself. Born and raised in Houston, he has developed a deep love for the Rockets and Astros (and can’t wait to celebrate the Rockets championship run in 2027). He is actively involved in Texas Equity Group as a Recruitment Co-Chair and as the club’s “main nerd”. He looks forward to his time at Camp Balcones Springs, where he is part of the leadership team during the summer and a bartender on weekends during the school year. If you run into him, there’s a good chance he’ll be listening to a genre of Latin American music or one of Pi’erre Bourne’s albums, and he might try to put you on.

David Gonima | Spring 2024
Hailing from the heart of Southtown San Antonio, David is a senior BFA in Acting major with a double minor in business and public policy and media and entertainment industries. When he’s not in rehearsal for a play that he’ll ask you to come see, you can find him lying in the grass with a good book, “dominating” the basketball court with his broken jumper, listening to 70’s yacht rock, or yapping about how the 2014 San Antonio Spurs were the best team in NBA history. On campus, he’s involved in Texas Student Television and productions within the Department of Theater & Dance. If you spot him, be sure to ask him why he thinks San Antonio breakfast tacos are simply unmatched.

Alan is a senior mechanical engineering student from Flower Mound, Texas. On campus, he is involved with the Student Engineering Council, Texas Rocket Engineering Lab, and undergraduate research. Outside of Tejas, you can find him playing piano, watching Mavs games, or cooking.
Sid Thandassery | Spring 2024
Sid is a junior majoring in Finance and Radio, Television, and Film. Ask him what his favorite movies are and he’ll surely give you some pretentious titles! In his free time, he loves to play soccer, play video games, and spend time with his friends. On campus, Sid spends his time with Texas Enactus and the Communication Council. You can find Sid out and about sitting and staring off into the distance at numerous random benches on campus where he will be listening to either Justin Bieber or Drake. If you do see Sid, he asks that you never speak of his prime soccer benchwarmer days or about being a Chelsea fan in this time period.
Joe Ray | Spring 2024
Joe is a senior majoring in Speech, Language and Hearing Sciences with a minor in American Sign Language studies. Six hours from his home in west Texas, he's a bit of a fish out of water and his Austin restaurant recommendations still aren't more interesting than P Terry's or the Kins dining hall. That being said, this city has slowly become his favorite place to be. In his free time he's usually getting lunch with friends or taking the insulin he forgot to give himself before lunch with friends. Ask him about anything linguistics, his obsession with Chappell Roan, or the latest bit being run on Sid Thandassery.
Solan Patel | Fall 2024
Solan is a junior majoring in Finance with a minor in RTF. He is from the far-off magical land of Katy, Texas. On campus, Solan is involved in the Undergraduate Business Council and Phi Chi Theta. In his free time, you’ll catch him watching movies, praying for Minnesota sports teams to finally win something, and being a sweat at board games. Ask Solan about being fluent in Chinese, traveling to 30+ countries, or why “About Time” is hands down, the best movie ever. He loves good vibes and jumping out of planes.

Michal is a senior Mathematics major from Austin, Texas. Before settling in Austin, he called the great state of Florida his home, and before then he lived in Warsaw, Poland. Ryan is a senior Finance major from the lowkey town of Frisco, Texas. Outside of Tejas, he is involved with Texas Finance Team, Scholars of Finance, and Intramural Basketball (ask him what it’s like to be a 1x Co Ed B League Champion). When he has some spare time, he enjoys playing chess leisurely, explaining why the Warriors are poised to win another championship, losing to Anish in Go, betting on his own golfing capabilities, and eating. Ryan has a new-found fascination with numbers and is learning more every day. In preparation for the Tejas Centennial celebration, he recently discovered one hundred.
Freddy Guo | Fall 2024
Freddy is a senior Computer Science, BHP, and Finance major from Austin, Texas. A devoted Tottenham Hotspur and Son Heung-min fan, Freddy brings the same pace and precision to his life as his favorite forward does on the field. On campus, he spreads his love for finance through the University Securities Investment Team and his faith through Texas Epic. Freddy's favorite pastime is going on runs early in the morning to be "productive" the rest of the day (which generally includes Cabo runs, 3-hour naps with Karthik, and quality time with Arjun Radhakrishnan). Will (Pictured left) is a third-year Philosophy and History major, from Austin, Texas. On campus he's involved in Longhorn Legal Coalition, UT Real Estate Council, and leading his fellow Newmen (PCP). Deep streaks of pondering and maxing his town hall 14 base consumes much of his time. Wyatt is a Government major in Liberal Arts Honors, hailing from the sleepy Denton, Texas, although he grew up in the sleepier state of Indiana. You can usually find Wyatt building houses with Habitat for Humanity, spending time in Gregory gym, or running on campus. Always down for a long conversation, but make sure to mention his sweaters. Don’t dap him up though. Your wrist might not survive.
Karthik Bobbili | Spring 2025
Karthik is a second-year computer science major from Houston, Texas (not Sugar Land or Katy). On campus Karthik is involved in the Quantitative Market Intelligence group and USIT. Outside of school, you will find Karthik biking around campus on the CapMetro bikes, playing ultimate frisbee or at Greg lifting while listening to Gunna. Karthik is known for being the funniest in his Newman class as well as the best wingman. If you ever see him without his water bottle, ask if he is okay (he is not).
Jake Ridlon | Spring 2025
Jake is a second-year business major born in Dallas, Texas. Though native to Texas, Jake has lived overseas for most of his life, spending his early years in Germany, China, and Malaysia before starting at UT. Outside of Tejas, he is involved in the Texas Undergraduate Business Council and the Texas Undergraduate Investment Team. In his free time, Jake loves shredding powder in uncharted territories, reminiscently enjoying 2000s sitcoms, or exploring the many local food options Austin has to offer. By the end of his college career, Jake plans to have traveled all across the country, visiting everything from scenic state parks to bustling cities like New York.

Andres is a third-year Social Work and Plan II Honors Major from Houston, TX (the real one). When he’s not doom-scrolling on Instagram, he works with the social work school and is a part of Texas 180 Degrees Consulting. He loves all things football and swears Texas can beat any team in true SEC hypothetical fashion. In his other pastimes, he enjoys the outdoors, hanging out with friends, and spending hours trying to catch fish (he hasn’t caught one yet). Ask him how many Chipotle rewards points he has, what Plan II is (he doesn’t know), or about his many side quests.

Antonio is a third-year Humanities Honors major (he's not sure what that means either) and he plans to write his senior thesis on architecture, urbanism, and public policy. Antonio claims to be from Houston, TX, and hopes you won't ask him if he's actually from the suburbs. Outside of Tejas, Antonio is involved with the University Tenant Union and the South Texas Human Rights Center. In his free time, Antonio enjoys running, watching VEEP for career inspiration, and writing lengthy restaurant reviews on Beli. Rohan Berfeld | Spring 2025
Rohan is a third-year architecture student born and raised in the big city (Saint Louis, Missouri). At UT, he is involved in the Undergraduate Architecture Student Council and is a proud dock warmer on the UT Sailing Team. To pass the time, Rohan can be found cutting the grass, questioning the means of suburbia, or exploring uncharted territories as he trains to become the next Dr. Doofenshmirtz. If you spot Rohan, ask him why he's not in the studio.
Vineeth Murugan | Spring 2025
Vineeth is a third-year Neuroscience major and Health Science Scholar from the bumpin' land of Coppell, Texas. On campus, he serves as VP of Programming for the Texas Business Healthcare Association and is involved in Phi Chi Theta and research at the Dell Pediatric Research Institute. He also coaches an 8U basketball team (yes, they run plays). When he’s not in class or lab, you’ll find Vineeth hooping, dominating the pickleball courts, learning golf (his new favorite sport), or tracking down the best food spots in Austin. If you run into Vineeth, don’t ask him about rewatching Suits for the fifth time or perfecting the art of the laid-back chiller lifestyle.
Cole Ritchie | Spring 2025
Cole is a third-year Government major from Round Rock, Texas. On campus, he is an active member of Longhorn Legal Coalition, where he’s exploring various legal fields and opportunities within law and policy. Cole’s hobbies include rock-climbing, grabbing an over-priced coffee, and attending live music events (he’s a self-proclaimed barricade warrior). Max Allen | Spring 2025
Max Allen is a Stats and Data Science major with too many minors. He loves the stats club, ASA, and the Tejas Club. Career wise, he’s planning on doing data science (ask him what that means). He loves reading fantasy books, listening to Bon Iver, and going bowling every Tuesday at the Union. He likes playing and reffing volleyball and loves watching the Dallas Stars beat the Colorado Avalanche every year in the playoffs. Ask Max about country capitals and flags, or make him juggle, solve a little mental puzzle, or something otherwise silly.
Caden Koerner | Spring 2025
Caden is a sophomore business honors major from Lakewood, Colorado. Outside of Tejas, Caden is involved in Texas Consulting and Sustainability Investment Group. When he’s not skiing/snowboarding he is likely thinking about skiing/snowboarding. Other than being a mountain man, Caden loves spending time outside, trying out new restaurants, and watching Colorado Avalanche hockey.
